An extra fare care on Lakewood Line.
On Celeron Park in 1895 until it jumped track in July, then returned to
Lakewood. Used until War One, then stored in Washington Street car barn,
scrapped in 1926. There was a spiral stairway to upper deck which had longitudinal
seats. There was a controller at each end of upper deck, also had a trolley
pole hinged from the front end and by rope and pulleys, skylight and mirrors,
the motorman raised or pulled the pole to meet the trolley wire above him.
The brakes were of a friction type, non-air. Photo shows long chains below
